We hope you are well ? Batocera is a free project and will remain a free project ! 🙂 I just write this little message to inform you, to encourage people who would like to help us without knowing how to do it. You have no obligation, it is a free project, you are entitled to participate or not 😉

Batocera is a big family, we are a big family and we are happy to count you among us 😃 As you know, Batocera is a project open to everyone, from simple users to more advanced users. Project participants are volunteers who contribute to Batocera, whatever their skills 😉

If you are interested in helping us in the development of the project, to bring new things, fix bugs, put some order, update some scripts, make a new theme ... and much more. Feel free to participate in our GitHub repositories -> https://github.com/batocera-linux/

Can someone send me all Batocera logo files, I'll be working on a splashscreen. I've done one for LaunchBox and would do the same one for Batocera, I would just need to replace the logo.

Ok it's really hard to convert it to white as I don't have the original files. It looks really good though with the draft I've done. If you can ask the author to add a light version. Logos should always comes in 2 version. Light and dark to fit every future situations.

I've been able to do something better than this and it's still not resizing correctly in After Effects. I really want to help but only the original author will be able to do it!

I am also the creator of the logo along with two other people. To help you I can give you the two. psd files. You could make whatever modifications you want.
As for your startup screen, I think it's nice.
The music is great. 🙂
Personally, the only thing that's wrong is the city in the background.

@all I am in high favor of putting a splashscreen at the start of Batocera but I think that we should not over thing this too much, the entire conversation when from making a simple boot splashscreen to an intro video. I believe that an intro video will be too much and a little annoying after a while, however, a short animated logo video very similar to the PS3/ Xbox360 intro is the best way to go, no need to add a menu in system to adjust this "boot screen", after all, the point its to make the Batocera name stand out!. The splashscreen for Recall box that Mathema point out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgcuWpbGj7o I believe is more of what Batocera needs, shot, fun, retro and stylish making the name more prestige, now I will love to see something like this be done for Batocera..... again is just my opinion let me know what you all think.

Great job with the logo videos =).
I just have one suggestion: do not put background music (highly preferred) or put a very subtle (low volume) one.
This is a highly criticised point in the recalbox one. At the beginning the wow-factor is nice for the music, but it wears out and turns annoying quickly in time.
