Problem with PS3 controller in Batocera 5.12

My Playstation 3 joystick is not working anymore via bluetooth on Raspberry Pi3 ! Only works with cable connected now.

Any chance of a "Choose a game randomly" option in future releases?

the bluetooth bug can be fixed until i release 5.13 this week :

ssh on batocera (or via f1)
run the 2 commands :
touch /etc/bluetooth/input.conf
cat /etc/bluetooth/input.conf

and reboot.

nadenislamarre Same issue with PS4 pad. I'll wait until 5.13 is out.

jdorigao Thank you, but I'm using Pi version (x86 unfortunately does not work for me anymore since I've upgraded video card to NVidia 1050 few months ago). I'll wait for 5.13 release for Pi.

it fixes the bluetooth issu of the 5.12
testers are welcome, i would like to release it quickly, perhaps tonight while the bug is annoying for several people

I have tested x86_64 (batocera-5.13-x86_64-20180127) and PS3 Controller via bluetooth is working now.
But the Button-Mapping is messed up (almost no Button is working and pressing down the D-Pad is "X" (SNES-Pad "B") for example).
When i manually fix the Button-Mapping by going into Main Menu, Controller Settings, Configure A Controller, then in Systems like SNES and Gameboy the Buttons are correct, but in Gamecube i noticed, that Buttons "B" and "X" are switched. I noticed that in Mario Kart Double Dash.
In 5.11 (that i used before) the Button-Mapping was correct and working right out-of-the-box.

I will test batocera-5.13-x86_64-20180201 now, and give you feedback 😉

Test with batocera-5.13-x86_64-20180201:

After pairing PS3 Controller (connecting PS3-Controller via USB, wait 10 seconds, then unplug and press PS-Button), the message "Configure Input - 1 Gamepad detected" appears, and i have to configure the Button-Mapping.

In 5.11 PS3 Controller-Button Mapping was working out-of-the-box with no manual configuration needed.
Could you please check and fix that for 5.13?

can you show me your file /recalbox/share/system/.emulationstation/es_input.txt ?

But it was a clean installation on a new usb-stick (for testing i always use new or fresh formatted usb-sticks)

with 1 pad effectively it occurs to me.
it seems that in recent version of udev or something, the name of the pad changed, so, you may effectively have to reconfigure the pad.
we will have to update the es_input.txt pad database so that people have not to configure pads.
