Just out of curiosity, how is everyone handling nested gamelists in the Batocera UI with multiple files of the same name such as Dreamcast GDIs? For Sega CD, the bin file names for each track were unique to the game and could all be dumped into the root SegaCD folder without filename conflicts. Batocera recognizes all of the files in the folder, but only displays the cue files as intended.
With the Dreamcast, most tracks have the same name across multiple games and cannot reside in the same folder without a naming conflict. I had a theory that worked out well, but before I went that route (it would be a lot of work), I thought I'd ask the community.
The tracks for each game would be given a unique identifying name for each game, then the filename would be updated in the GDI files. That way, the Dreamcast games would not be nested in their own folder and could all reside on the root Dreamcast folder just as with the Sega CD.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
