[RESOLVED] How to use waveshare 4 inch display with Batocera Linux

Hi All I have been trying to use the 800x480 4 inch HDMI display with Batocera Linux on the raspberry pi model 3 but no matter what I try the screen doesnt work! The screen works fine on my windows machine... Can anyone help me out on this?

Genetik57 I Tried the video as well, I dont think I need the FBCP and S11fbcp files to be present in the RecalBox so I didnt use them.. as Linux should have them according to the 'overlays' link... I put in the Overlay and everything rebooted it and added the lines to the config.txt but it didnt work. The screen just shows some odd colors probably due to reading capacitance leaks/ ambeint current but no real image..

Found it!!! It was the HDMI boost option, needed to set it near 5-7, it is set to 0 by default..

Also we need to comment the HDMI Hotplug and HDMI audio option I think... just putting it here for future references cuz I keep forgetting.. 😛
