note that's at this time, i've not yet tested this just built images. i'm among the testers too.

My PS3 controller work on ES but does not work in RetroArch

Strange! I just did a clean install and I'm using two PS3 controls one original and the other not and they are working very well on both RPI3 and x86_64

Did your PS3 controllers work directly (out of the box) or did you have to configure them first (button mapping)?

In Version 5.11 the PS3 controllers were working directly out of the box (preconfigured), but after 5.12 i always have to configure the button-mapping first and then in gamecube the buttons "B" and "X" (on PS3-controller circle and square) are reversed.

I always did a fresh (new) install.

luizthiago I made the update from 5.13 to 5.14 RC1 and had no problem, the same for x86_64.

DnevnoySwet I believe the startup videos are for rpi only.

an upgrade in 5.13 (probably sdl) seems to have changed some joystick names (and thus configuration)

bootable video only on rpi? And the rest of it worse than the owners rpi? That for discrimination. I made a retro gaming station from an old laptop. Why should the rest of us enjoy sad picture?

From what I understand, it's because Rpi is known hardware, and therefore predictable and easy to standardize. It's hard to get the video working on hundreds of different x86 configurations with varying capabilities and compatibilities.

@RichardPGoulet yes. video is possible on x86, but depending on the hardware support, it may be nice or ugly ; and i guess that there are several cases to manage. the intro video is not the feature i would like to take too much time for the moment.

nadenislamarre I understand, but if you do the option in the menu, select themes and screen savers, and who does not work for videos you can just turn off

DnevnoySwet Hello, calm down. The Raspberry will test this feature before the other boards. Probably at the next update the other boards will have these modifications. It's like bezels. Only for 1080p & 720p screens
