Hello everyone !
I converted my brand-new HTPC into a Batocera Config, because a friend showed me what was RecalBox on a Pi3, and I wanted to create a big RecalBox on a mini-ITX computer to take it with me everywhere.
But for sound problem, I turn to Batocera, and in 5 minutes, I had sound !
So here is my kitlist :
ASRock QC5000M-ITX/PH, integrated APU A4-5000 and HD 8330
4Go DDR3 1600Mhz
SSD 128Go
Nvidia GT610 1Go
Why the external graphic card ? Because with integrated card, I had lags on the menu, and so I learned that the graphic card should be too new for Batocera to work with it.
With the GT610, it runs perfectly.
But I had issues with Gamecube and N64 games.
I tried 2 games (Crash Tag Team Racing and GoldenEye 007), they runs slow (10/15fps), I saw for N64 it should be normal because emulation is hard on that, and for Gamecube, it's Nvidia GC that should be the problem.
I tried also PS1 game (RE2 & Medievil), it runs fine.
So is that possible to use the integrated graphic card instead of the External Nvidia card ?
Some fix to do to use it ? And is there any way to optimize Gamecube and N64 emulators ? I search on the web, but didn't find anything.
My objective is to add a PS2 emulator to try it on this APU, see if it's working fine to try SoulCalibur 3 😃
I'm not very good with Unix's terminal, but I know things and I can learn on the web for the rest.
Thanks a lot, hope that should have helped people trying to create a HTPC for RecalBox/Batocera 🙂
