help compile mame2016

hi, i got this error when i compile mame2016,
how can i fix this issue ?
i compile on Odroid-xu4 machine, with OS Debian jessie

bullghost i imagine you made the mame2016.mk ? can't you jsut add flags into the .mk files ?

yes i have modify mk from mame2010, but now it work, by removeing
CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS , with it will cause some error
and then i add this OSD=retro RETRO=1 NOWERROR=1 OS=linux TARGETOS=linux CONFIG=libretro NO_USE_MIDI=1
to fix undefined function problem

i have encounter 2 time fail on build nodjs, i pass the error just call make again and again each time fail to build.
is this ok ?

the mame2016 is working now, build success using mk file from mame2010 as i describe above.
i will attach the mk for you later so you can add it to support mame2016 its good and running well on odroid-xu4
and nodejs also success, for nodejs its because not enough memory of my odroid-xu4

send me your package/mame2016 directory. i'lll try to have a look at it.
for nodejs, i 'ontknow, eventually, just run
make mame2016 to only build mame2016

by the way, you don't need to compile es to compile mame2016,
just run :
make mame2016
and to rebuild completly :
rm -rf output/build/mame2016*
make mame2016

ow ic , mame2016 is my additional emulator for using in batocera, but actualy i need to build batocra for odroid-xu4 with include mame2016 and mame2014 ,
so is it possible to build under odroid-xu4? or i really need to build under pc with linux OS ?

oh, youre building not from a pc ?!?
you really should.
virtual disk from virtual pc are too slow too.

if you come on irc and ask susan34, i can tell you how to do a pull request (pr) so that it is signed by yourself in the code.

sorry just online, having two days to get vm and run compiling mame2016 and try to build batocera without mame2016 include,

i use vm debian wheezy
the mame2016 in my vm, got error like this :

when i try build under odroid-xu4 it was build successfull without error, but when i added to batorcera and run, i got segmentation fault in everygame i try 🙁

if i build and run under debian jessie its work fine.

so from here the only success build and put to batocera and run successful is mame2014

do you have more log.
I already got a similar issue, it was upper on a missing directory (cpu).
Compiling in a vm is very slow. A standard ubuntu distribution is recommanded.
I guess that the segfault is a consequence of the truncated file.

i just want a better romsets, so i try to build lr-mame but found out its need a newer c++ 5.0 >= and one of mame dev suggest lr-mame2014 its similar with lr-mame.
and 2016 have newer romsets.
both i try work good in odroid-xu4 so far i test alots of mame rom and cps1 and cps2 rom.
the mame2014 was good speed and stable on batocera 😃.

how can i change the white color between transition emulationstation with emulator ? , i have problem with the brightness the white color was so bright to see.

Does files must be in FBA or MAME folder ?

Because I Have CPS3 Roms in FBA folder which working but not 1 & 2 🙁
