The normal Image (5.14) won´t boot on the rpi3b+.
Here a quick 50% fix ...
Download the new noobs-lite (33mb) archive and unzip the file.
Write the batocera 5.14 (rpi3) image to your sd-card.
Open the sd-card and remove all files and directories except:
- boot (directory)
- config.txt
- commandline.txt
Open the noobs-lite archive and copy the following files and directories to your sd-card:
- overlays (directory)
- bcm2708-rpi-0-w.dtb
- bcm2708-rpi-b.dtb
- bcm2708-rpi-b-plus.dtb
- bcm2708-rpi-cm.dtb
- bcm2709-rpi-2-b.dtb
- bcm2710-rpi-3-b.dtb
- bcm2710-rpi-3-b-plus.dtb
- bcm2710-rpi-cm3.dtb
- bootcode.bin
- start.elf
- start_cd.elf
- start_db.elf
- start_x.elf
- fixup.dat
- fixup_cd.dat
- fixup_db.dat
- fixup_x.dat
Now your rpi3b+ is able to boot into batocera-recalbox.
But .... the new io chips are not supported by the linux kernal.
No network, Bluetooth, USB ... no USB => no gamepad !!!
I really like to see a fix for it ....
