Hello there.
I use IPAC2 (a keyboard encoder) to connect my joysticks and at first boot I've configures controllers thru ES. Everything went fine to all emulators but Mame/Libretro. I was able to make it work partially in Mame 0.78 (2003) as core, since it seem to recognize all buttons numbers (I have a layout of 2 players and18 buttons: 16 buttons + 2 for insert coins). It reconognized some of the buttons and remaped in some way:
- Start p1 (Button 8) and select p1 (button10) not recognized
- insert coin p1(button 7) only recongnized as hotkey (since I've configured it as hotkey in ES)
- Joystick and rest of buttons ok.
On the other hand, Mame 2010 can't recognize buttons past number 7. Even though, remapping for P1 is not working either.
As expected I cannot configure player 2.
I was wondering if there's any way to libretro/retroarch to recognize my Ipac2 as "retrokeyboard" or any other mode that will see my controllers as a native keyboard? Doing that can I expect to have P1 and P2 working?
Could anyone point to the correct direction in order to have Mame controllers working?
Thanks!
Alessandro
