Games not playing in full screen? 16/9 - 4/3

Hi guys

Anyone else having this issue?

On one PC, games run in full 16/9 aspect ratio (using widescreen monitor)
I then switch to 32inch TV and games are playing in 4/3?

I tried with a different 64bit PC and games only run in 4/3 on both the monitor and the TV

I have tried changing the game ratio to 16/9 in game settings - nothing changed

I have tried advanced settings and set this individually to 16/9 - Still playing in 4/3!!!

Does anyone have an answer?

Which Systems/Games are running in 4/3?
Many old Systems such like NES/SNES, PSX, N64 and even Dreamcast are running in 4/3 because they are supposed to run like this (back at the time, the TVs did not have 16/9 ratio, only 4/3).

Yes but they should stretch to full screen - that is one of retroarch features

on my desktop monitor they run in full screen but on my TV they only run in 4/3

I don't like systems, that are supposed to run in 4/3 to be stretched to 16/9 because heads are looking like footballs then.
Why would someone want that?

Yes I want to know plz! In the menu there is a option for 16/9 but it dont stretch the emulators to full screen. Been looking for a way to adjust this.. on my x86_64 PC build.

try to do an clean install of last version of batocera...don't just update !

Levellingup So, i can't help you ..because i use my batocera on an raspberry Pi 3 ..and in this board, if i jist change the advanced game settings to run in 16/9 it runs OK now ...in all emulators
