5.17 boot from hdd problem

hi . i have a core 2 duo pc and use it with batocera for retro gaming . i always write batocera.img from usb to hdd with diskclone software in hiren boot cd`s mini win xp and use batocera from hdd without pendrive . i didnt have any problem until 5.17 . after writing this img to hdd when reboot pc it freez at bios post screen ( think cant find mbr in hdd) . can u guys help me in this problem ? is new version only boot with uefi ? mine m/b dont have uefi. asus p5pe-vm . i test both 64 and 32 bit same problem . thanks

I tested in other pc with gigabyte motherboard and it wont boot from hdd eather . (usb boot is ok) . i think new 5.17 has problem with old m\b s that dont have uefi . please fix it .
