Options Menu crashes when using a TV

I setup an Intel NUC using an HP 22" monitor. All is perfect.

I moved the cables and the unit to a Samsung 55" UHD TV. Now, launching the option menu will cause the Emulationstation process to crash, or sometimes the menu screen will come up blank. About 1 in 20 reboots, will get lucky and the menu comes up correctly before crashing again.

This bug is repeatable, and goes away when i switch it to my other HDMI device.
Anyone have ideas on fixes?

This is an issue with 4K
Create a new file in /recalbox/share/system/.xinitrc with the following content: https://pastebin.com/0fL4c7zV
Reboot and everything should be working.
This change forces the resolution to 1080p.
