the minimal requirement is opengl 3.3 + some gl functions.
It's hard to give a list, but most of recent (less than 2 years and probably a lot more) computer should work.
My computer is probably not a good example, because it's a basic computer, low price, i3 only, and laptop.
Note that the default configuration for the moment is the default pcsx2, only the sound i've downgrade the quality from 3 to 2.
at the beginning, i didn't include sound, and now that i've added it, i notice it has a big impact on the performacnes (about 10% fps). note that it is still possible to disable different sound effect, and idem for graphics, by reducing effects and quality, i get very good performances (but so less nice).
my idea is to have a global batocera performance value to choose between 2 or 3 possible ps2 configuration.
if you want to test and find the options having the most impact, feedback is welcome.
however, note that for the moment, 2 points are missing :
- it's complicated to get the fps (because the game is run in full screen). i will provide a way (this week i hope) to let you see the % of performance.
- i hope to fix the save/load state issue ; i've a good guess
