hi i see you add a lot of new graphic card in to the drivers but i think are open linux drivers that drivers work really low under real specs like in windows...

then the problem is you need a people who knows how to do it? in that case has good to put advertise in diferents ways for search people who like to help the batocera project or enter on the team.

i got today this grafic card .ASUS Nvidia gforce GTX 1050 Ti Expedition 4 gb gddr5 pci express 3.0 .

And batocera is very slow on the menu , some systems run games at full speed but until i choose the game oh my good realy very slow for batocera .. drives all actualized and still slow .

And me with Intel 980X + 960Ti + 16Go DDR3 and Dreamcast games are more lag than my Pi3 OC lol
But GameCube games are fine (just some lags on Mario Kart)

i've done an nvidia version.
however, i don't think i've the correct hardware,
and i think it requires an xorg.conf to be added.
But all the rest is installed.
to be tested and probably configured by somebody having the hardware to test the correct configuration

this might sound like a terrible idea but how can one implement a menu entry to be added to emulationstation's menu to toggle the bits and pieces of nvidia-settings cli attributes --assign or -a dynamically updating the running instance of batocera onscreen with the appropiate framebuffer/xinit restart??

I suspect a previous nvidia-settings --query all should be run somehow before to populate the new menu with what available options to change.

i guess that the problem is the xorg.conf.

adding something like it in /etc/X11/xorg.conf may help :
Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "NoLogo" "true"
EndSection

i've built an image which is supposed to be correct exception xorg configuration. but while i've not the correct hardware, somebody must take the relay and make test.
i don't think that the nvidia-* config binaries are requires. i will take a look at them, but i guess there are debian specific for debian and built by debian, not nvidia.

nadenislamarre Well, ok. They might not be required. However then how would a user go and be able to set vblank on/off, quality preset performance, fxaa and other gpu feature without the addtional binaries?

@chanchomann first, we must make it work, then, we'll see for optimisations.
however, keep it mind that it must be as much possible userfriendly and working out of the box.
