Hi,

Playstation 2 arrived on batocera.linux !

Please find what you can get with my 2Ghz i3 cpu and integrated radeon gpu.

Hotkeys are now working successfully
States (save/restore) is working
fixes avx2 plugins call
fixes minor things

todo:
- x86_64 version
- some pads have issues (axes reverted or not working)

it is only for x86 32 bits for this first version, however, it can run on any 64 bit computer.
Everything is working. You can play up to 2 players.

I need feedbacks.
The default pcsx2 configuration is applied.
You can tweak the configuration by connecting via ssh and running /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-config-pcsx2.sh while you're on the emulationstation menu.
You need any of the bios displayed in the bios menu (only 1 is needed).

If somebody is interested to work on the theme, (s)he is welcome. for the moment, i copied the ps1 theme.

on the image, you can find the files here
/recalbox/share_init/system/.emulationstation/themes/batocera-light/ps2

just copy the directory from /recalbox/share_init/system/.emulationstation/themes/batocera-light to /recalbox/share/system/.emulationstation/themes/batocera-light
and then, you can modify it directly on your running batocera.

The Logo and the Logo2 work perfectly but the Controller , game and console are disappeared.
Is there a maximum file size ? Logo and logo2 are 19kb, game 197kb and Controller are both 1141kb

yes, i've disabled some elements for all the systems, because it creates performances issues on raspberry, just these images, not only for ps2. less complex are the files, less issues it will cause.

after many hours, i have no idea what is wrong. The original svg files from psx work fine, but my svg files are disappeared. I hvae this in png, maybe another have more luck.

In my case the Controller priority Switch from time to time. Sometimes the Xbox Controller is the playable Controller, sometimes the Arcade Sticks, Xbox Controller is on number 1 in Controllerlist.

as i see here the version is pcsx2 1.5 which is development build not the stable one ( 1.4 )
so may be the stable 1.4 have a high chance to work with all of us ?? or i am wrong?

Hotkeys not working for me, i must press ESC from the Keyboard.

I just tested this beta2 and I'll leave my report here on what worked and what did not work for me. I could not test beta1 because my cpu does not support avx2 and this has been fixed in this version. now joined the test team.

1 - Hotkeys are now working successfully - It did not work on my dualshock 3 joystick. Just on the keyboard.
F1 saves, f3 loads and esc leaves the game.
2 - States (save / restore) is working - f1 and f3 on the keyboard work well for this.
3 - fixes avx2 plugins call - now it is possible to play with cpu without avx2 support which is my case.
4 - fixes minor things - all very good, all very well. now is to fix the joystick hotkey and release as official.

The worst is over now we have to wait to port to the x64 version as well.

Good day, the tests showed that not all games running control, or rather the right side works , and the left D-pad and stick does not work. Gamepad use from PS2, with two connectors for PC and PS2. In Bionicle Heroes-does not work, in Silent Hill 3 - works. How do I enter the emulator menu? To configure the controller. With Nintendo Wii I also had problems, I solved them simply by including the emulator menu in the Dolphin file.ini and now if I have a problem with management, I configure the control in the menu and then go to full-screen mode. Prompt in what file to register display of the menu of the emulator PS2? And another question, what about those games that have a size above 4GB? System and games on a flash drive, FAT32 does not allow you to add great games. Thanks

Please send me your 2 files:
- /recalbox/share/system/.emulationstation/es_input.cfg
- /recalbox/share/system/configs/PCSX2/inis/OnePAD.ini

so that i can analyse wha'ts wrong.

to configure pcsx2, run once at the es menu (not once pcsx is already running)
run /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-config-pcsx2.sh

for big roms:
- use a nas
or
- use an hdd
or
- use an external key

don't use fat, use ext4, once batocera is booted, you can copy and files from one key to another by pressing f1 to get a file explorer.

nadenislamarre I use SD card Formatter, there default is FAT32. Я так и делаю, захожу в файловый менеджер по нажатию F1. Раньше я использовал HDD на пк, но так кая я играю на двух пк, я решил перенести всё флеш накопитель. Так удобнее. Вставил флешку в пк и играй себе в удовольствие. ycruz90 follow the path realbox\system\configs\dolphin-emu\Dolphin.ini, open the file in a text editor, I do it in Notepad++, look for the line RenderToMain = False and change False to True. Now when you start the game will open in windowed mode. And you can customize anything you want

The ps2 emulator running very well. One thing I noticed is that when I use the joystick of player 2 it gets inverted. Has anyone had this problem?
