Hi,

Playstation 2 arrived on batocera.linux !

Please find what you can get with my 2Ghz i3 cpu and integrated radeon gpu.

Hotkeys are now working successfully
States (save/restore) is working
fixes avx2 plugins call
fixes minor things

fixes pad (some cases)
fixes hotkeys (some cases)
display osd (when save/restore/change slots/state)
display fps (is option is checked in batocera)

todo:
- x86_64 version

it is only for x86 32 bits for this first version, however, it can run on any 64 bit computer.
Everything is working. You can play up to 2 players.

I need feedbacks.
The default pcsx2 configuration is applied.
You can tweak the configuration by connecting via ssh and running /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-config-pcsx2.sh while you're on the emulationstation menu.
You need any of the bios displayed in the bios menu (only 1 is needed).

If somebody is interested to work on the theme, (s)he is welcome. for the moment, i copied the ps1 theme.

Now the D-Pad also works (just testetd with GTA III and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3) 🙂

nadenislamarre Gamepad is fully functional, Thank you. But hotkeys do not work

Beta 3:

fixes pad (some cases) - d-pad is working perfectly in the games i tested.
fixes hotkeys (some cases) - load and save works fine but it takes about two seconds until the command works. but reset and exit did not work.
display osd (when save/restore/change slots/state) - it works very well.
display fps (is option is checked in batocera) - it works very well.

My joystick is original dualshock 3.

I have also an original dualshock 3 and for me hotkeys are working without any problems.

ok, so, still one bug on hotkey. i don't manage to reproduce. but i'll found why it bugs. Thanks for your feedbacks.

Congratulations @nadenislamarre for this good Job ...unfortunately, i don't have an enough pc to test PS2, but, your job is amazing on batocera Linux !!

luizthiago I join your congratulations! Work is done the huge! Never thought that the PS2 will be a retro console. But alas, time does not stand still and we are getting old. In 10-15 years the PS4 will be retro. And I hope that batocera linux will be the first in everything! Thank you!

congratulation great work
for me i am following any Sony emulator so this is my greatest release ever

now i can enjoy all my Sony games (ps1 psp ps2 )

one thing i have 64 bit computer will this affect the game performance or i should wait for 64 bit release

i won't create incomphension on users. It's not a breaking change, just a minor change at the global system point of view.

several other themes are missing. i created them quickly (and badly), don't hesitate to work on that ;-)

I took the Disc Image, that Hansie80 posted here:

and added the DVD-Rom Logo
