n64 Generic USB joystick controller issues

I'm having trouble with setting up a generic usb n64 joystick. The mupen64plus input.xml file states that the C Up, C Down, etc. correspond with the inputs for the right thubstick. Which would be fine but when configuring a controller in Batocera I can only set buttons for 2 of the axis. is there a work around for this?

I cannot get the C-Down button to work on my Generic Usb Joystick in Mupen64 because C-down is listed as Joystick 2 - Down. I cannot set a value for Joystick 2 - Down when configuring my controller in Batocera, as it only gives me the options to set values for Joystick 2 - Up and Joystick 2 - Left.

The file i'm referring to for the configuration is \batocera\share\system\configs\mupen64\input.xml

Is there a way to manually set a value for Joystick 2 - Down or to change the button that corresponds with C-down?

Hopefully this makes sense.
