FBA, NEO GEO, MAME not working

I just installed batocera on a Shuttle Global - XS35GS V3.
Put soms roms from "FB Alpha v0.2.97.39" in the FBA folder and neogeo games in the neogeo folder (with bios in it). but nothing runs or runs for a couple of seconds and hangs.

I've tried the roms in FBA libretro and MAME but whatever I choose and change emulators nothing works properly.

I'm using the exact same roms on my retropie and that works flawlessly.
Anyone got any idea what goes wrong? I'd like to have the shuttle in a arcade cabinet.
I was about to try recalbox, but now I read that the one of the people of recalbox left the project and started batocera, so I dont think I'm going to win something there.
I don't like the look of lakka and Retropie is not an OS for PC (and I don't want to install on top of linux and want it to work when I start everything)

If I cant get it to work I might switch the pie with the shuttle, 'couse dreamcast runs great on the shuttle

Marten Hi Marten! I had similar problems and I solved it all.
For neogeo
1) try to check all roms with a rom manager using the correct .dat file for the emulator (aka core) you're using.
2) put neogeo bios also in share/bios folder
3) put roms in share/roms/neogeo folder
4) go in retroarch settings and choose the emulator accordingly to your romset (point n.1)
For FBA
1) idem
2) put bios share/bios folder
3) put roms in share/roms/fab_libretro folder

First point is often key to solve this kind of problems. Good luck!
