Batocera 5.15 worked very well on MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010; NVIDIA Geforce GT 320M).
After update (to 5.16, 17, or 18), it stays on a black screen after the logo boot.
This happens:
- on upgrade
- on fresh install
- on flash key prepared with etcher
- on external disk prepared from a working batocera (5.15 on mac, and 5.15-18 on pc 64).
I created a lot of reports with dmesg, lsmod, lspci, lsusb and collecting Xorg.0.log and messages; from 5.15 and 5.18.
After that, I tried disabling one by one in grub.cfg whatever module was giving any kind of warning:
linux /boot/linux label=BATOCERA vt.global_cursor_default=0 module_blacklist=btusb,bluetooth,bcm5974,hid_appleir,hid_apple,mac_hid,apple_bl
In the end, X crashes at boot after this message:
"Oct 14 14:39:48 batocera user.info kernel: [ 15.417177] emulationstatio[911]: segfault at 1a ip 00007f778b3d5ade sp 00007ffd32c32f40 error 4 in nouveau_dri.so[7f778b084000+bcc000]"
Any idea?
Time permitting, I am available to produce and post a complete report, if I can get some tip on the correct way to do it (I've looked, but am a bit lost, inside the wiki):
menu/system/information/report doesn't work since I do not have X; but I can ssh it. Should I run /scripts/recalbox-support.sh?
should I post the whole text in the forum, or a link in pastebin, or something like that?
Thanks!
