Hello friends, for those who are using Batocera in Rpi 3 and the games are with the black screen when it is run for the second time only the sound works, I am here posting the configuration file already ready to solve this annoying problem!

SidonCryerd blz mas é quando tu clica no jogo e ao invés do jogo abrir,ele apresenta uma tela preta e volta para a capa ? é isso? isso está acontendo quando vou jogar jogos do playstation 1,funcionava normal depois começou com isto,alguem com uma solução?

But , addictionally, i say : this problem persist on the 5.5 version for Rpi3 .

im the MasterSystem (.SMS) roms , im the Mega Drive Roms etc ....black screem after 1º st plain ....reboot solve the problem for the next game, but, reapair ... many reboots necessary for playing many games of these plataforms ...

please, fix this problem on the next update of batocera linux !

I noticed that the file with the corrected settings causes the "Batocera" logo to appear every time you enter or exit a game, which causes the problem to be corrected (even in version 5.5).

Thank you very much for sending this file to us! I hope that in some next update this .Conf file will be changed in the batocera image, because from what I realized, the problem has been present since version 5.3 ...

in the 5.5 version the problem persist's ... but , with the file posted in this topic, has solved !

I believe that the problem has some relation to the "non-display" of the "Batocera" logo before loading or exiting the games, as I had already noticed that the logo only appeared on the first run and then no more .... with the Replacement of the original racalbox.conf file, so it is in this topic, the problem is solved !! .... the logo "batocera" started to appear before entering or leaving any game whatsoever, even when "turning off" the system, the Logo appears too!

I think the key to solving the problem would be to change in the new images of Raspberry Pi3 the file recalbox.conf by this one that is in the topic, since it solves the problem!

The user "SidonCryerd" has solve the problem with the recalbox.conf file corrected !

If it is he who made the modifications to the file, you will certainly know the basis of the problem and how to solve it in the next updates ...

the only difference between this file and the original is the value of :
global.videomode

by default, it's global.videomode=CEA 4 HDMI
in your case it's global.videomode=default

for more than one year, it worked for almost all people with this value.
it doesn't work in your case because your tv doesn't support CEA 4 HDMI.
I don't think that i should change this value except if you can argue technically that default would work in more case.

I've tested in two models of TV : one LG older plasma TV and in my SmartTV Samsung 32'' ... In both cases the error occurs... When i changed the file for this in the post, the problem has solved....

Initialy, i've think the problem has my SmartTV Samsung. But, today i tested in a plasma old TV and the problem persists...

Can you tell me what's written in logs/es*.txt please after a black screen ?
Can you confirm you've juste the global.videomode to change to fix the issue ?

nadenislamarre My friend, I did a test: I had to format my card from Batocera because he suddenly stopped downloading the scrapes and gave some errors (I do not know if there is a problem with having installed the beta and returned the previous one), so I I decided to do everything from the beginning again, without the beta. I downloaded and installed the latest stable version 5.5.

So I changed the original file "recalbox.conf" by changing only the "global.videomode=default" line and, as far as I could see, solved the problem.

I believe that, to solve this problem then just change this line by default in the file when you are releasing a next version. This is my feedback for now.

I've the same problem with batocera 5.3 x86 64 after 5 minutes i'm playing dreamcast . can i use the same file?
