Problem native bluetooth paired 8bitdo sf30pro. Slow Loading games.

Hello. Im with the last version batocera. But i have a problem. I cant paired bluetooth with batocera. Only work with cable.

Is normal?
What can i do?

Impossible pairing . Batocera not detect never the 8bitdo bluetooth way....

The system dont find the controller. I updated to the last version but i have the same results

I have no problem to pair my sf30 pro with my Pi3.
But i use a bluetooth dongle and not the integrated bluetooth of the Pi3.

How did you try to pair your sf30 pro?
I did it by pressing Start + B and then i pressed the Pair-Button (the little button on top of the controller, next to the USB-C Type port) for 3 seconds.
Then i went to the controller settings of batocera (i used a usb-keyboard for navigation) and then to pair bluetooth controller. After a few seconds the controller was found and connected automatically. I then only had to configure the controller (setup all buttons) and now the sf30 works fine. Even when i shutdown the pi and turn of the controller and after restart, it connects automatically (after pressing Start+B to turn the controller on, and then press the Sync Button).

With usb dongle I know it is possible. I am trying without that. Only with bluetooth pi. Not possible? 🙁

Did you try the different modes?

Try one of this Modes: Switch / Android / Windows

PS: Start + B is the Android mode. Did you try this way?

Finally i can pair the 8bitdo without dongle.
Need put in windows mode (on the pad with start+x and next put pairing button). Batocera detect (xbox pad), but i can configure without any problem.

But have a new problem. If i open any game, any emulador , the game put black screen and need 1 minute to load!!!

Is very very slow load any game if i have the pad paired with bluetooth!

If i disconect the pad bluetooh and put wired an load the game in 1 second!!

I try reboot, reconfigure, etc etc, and if i use native bluetooth with sf30 pro, the boot time is normal, the menus are normal, the gameplay is normal. BUT the time for load any rom (any system is 1,5 min in black screen)

Very strange problem!!! @nadenislamarre any idea about this?? Please?

xdeymos can you check if a process is taking cpu via "top" during the minute ?
other possibiliies are to run the game manually from command line (given in the log) to confirm it's not a bug at the configuration time but at game running.

type : "top"
you'll see the most cpu intensive process at top.
then, start a game taking a long time, and see which line are at top. eventually, take a picture to show me.

Sorry I can not do the test, since I deleted the bluetooth pad and now batocera always gives me "synchronized pad" but it really does not synchronize in any way. Neither star + X nor anything. I think there is a problem with batocera and the synchronization of pads. I tested my remote on a 3pi + raspy with retropie and it works without problem.

xdeymos I have exactly the same issue (on rasp pi b+ et odroid xu4), with sn30pro and ps4 controller. Did you find a way to solve it?

I cant paired with native bluetooth my SF30 pro.

With retropie in the same raspberry i dont have problem.

Hi there. I have the same problem, it takes ~1 minute to load any emulator when using my 8bitdo sf30 pro pad via bluetooth. I've tried Snes9X, pcsx rearmed and the GBA emulator (the default one, not sure which one it is and too lazy to search right now 🙂

The top command didn't show any process blowing up the CPU, as you can see in the screenshot: https://ibb.co/jL1j1Ln

I'm using Batocera version 5.22 2019/06/09 03:34 on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+.

@nadenislamarre , I'm happy to provide more info if needed. I'm somewhat familiar with Linux and do speak French too.
