WIFI Problem

Sorry for mi english, Im colombian, ok so, I instaled last version of batocera in my RPi3B+, but I cant to connect mi wifi in this OS, and i dont know if is posible in to the config archive like recalbox, I had a RPi3b and that problems wasnt happens, I put my Username and password of my wifi but nothing, I went to a house of my friend for other wifi bou bothing, way ethernet yes, but wifi nop, please help me, thanks

I have the same problem if try use 5Ghz. Not run the wifi. With 2.4 not problem. (My raspberry is 3b+)

I Tried to rename your WiFi SSID to a name without special characters and it worked for me

arso96 My SSID only have CAPS, I try to connect in other SSID and nothing, any other solution?

Remember the password has some weird characters.

You need to get into the field and scroll all the way to the left. Erase all letters and then try again. It will work.

Go on the password field and press X, and go all the way to the left, even if it appears to not have anything on field. You probably will find some characters wrote there. Erase them, and input your passwors. Or find the configuration file using WinSCP and remove the options to encrypt the password.

Nothing, coriously in my Wifi not work, bot others yes, I dont know why.

Ok, got some time.

Go on WinSCP and connect to the device.

Navigate to /recalbox/share/system and open recalbox.conf

You will find this:

Set system hostname

system.hostname=BATOCERA

Activate wifi (0,1)

wifi.enabled=0

Wifi SSID (string)

wifi.ssid=<Your Wifi>

Wifi KEY (string)

after rebooting the recalbox, the "new key" is replace by a hidden value "enc:xxxxx"

you can edit the "enc:xxxxx" value to replace by a clear value, it will be updated again at the following reboot

Escape your special chars (# ; $) with a backslash : $ => \$

wifi.key=enc:U2FsdGVkX18TUK0ONvWt/VMwXvDjWYwZpFCsvmoh2C4=

Change to what you need and you should be able to connect.
