How to install nvidia driver 340.xx

Hello, I'm using batocera on a Acer Aspire Revo r3600. This machine has a nvidia ION chipset, but with the nouveau driver performances are not good (mostly in Kodi, emulation is fine). So I was wondering what's the best way to install the proprietary nvidia driver. I need to install a legacy version of the drivers, the 340.xx series.

I know this post is a little dead, but just wondering if anyone's been working on this or gotten it to work? If not, it looks like I need a GPU upgrade!
