Mayflash/HuiJia N64 adapter in Mupen64+

Hey guys. I am new to RecalBox/Batocera.linux, so I am still trying to understand how this entire thing works -- but I'm doing my best to learn.

My issue is with the Mayflash/HuiJia N64 adapter and how it plays with the N64 emulator. It appears to autoconfigure with all of the other emulators I've tried just fine, but it's a complete mess in N64.

Is there a way to modify the control settings just for N64 (without disturbing the other emulators that operate fine with my Mayflash adapter) so the buttons match the layout of the N64 control scheme?

not really easyly.
you may modifiy the file : /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/configgen/generators/mupen/mupenControllers.py
modification will be available without rebooting.
you need to save the firmware modification so that it works after reboot, see the wiki.

nadenislamarre How would I save the firmware modification? I refered to this page: https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/wiki/doku.php?id=en:modify_the_system_while_it_s_running, but it's saying that it wouldn't work for XU4...

Also, let me ask, if I'm not able to make this work in Batocera's current state, are there any plans in the near future to fully integrate Mupen64 so that my Mayflash N64 adapter controller would autoconfigure like most of the other emulators?
