Amiga General (CD32, 1200, 500, etc)

Hi guys,

Running on Stable version 519.
On Raspberry Pi, Amiberry won't load CD image at all. Boots to the kickstart CD32 welcome screen. Have to go to the Amiberry GUI and select image manually then reboot Amiga to get games to work. Tried it with ZIP,Bin and CUE. No sucess.

Also Amiga 1200 and all others do not work. I only get to the Kickrom screen where it asks to put in a disk. First I tried it with zipped IPFs -> no success. Second try was unzipped. No success. Then I thought maybe it's cause I load from the NAS, but didn't work also from internal storage.

On x86-64 with FS it works without any problems.
Also the same on 5.20 beta version.

Any help?

for ipf support the capsimg.so plugin is missed. i was not able to make it working on amiberry.

Have the same problem with zipped lha files, it's just not recognizing the games and stops at the kickrom screen 🙁 For CD32 lha files it also just gets to the CD32 welcome screen.

zipped lha? please unzip the lha files. lha is a compressed format.

Just to mention... Running on 5.19

The Amiga stuff runs on the x86-64 version and also tried Retropie (working) but not on batocera pi3b+, so I think the kick-roms and games are are fine.
The CD32 stuff runs on x86-64 ver with FSUAE .

I have all games in different formats. LHA, ADF, HDF, IPS. None of them are working (zipped or unzipped) on the pi3b+. It always gets to the kickstart screen where it wants me to put a diskette in here the kickrom version is shown.. So I think the kickroms are working but it doesn't recognize the games

For CD32 I have bin/cue and lha. Neither work (zipped or unzipped) and boot to to the start screen. But here I can mount the CD image manually via the the menu and reset, then the game starts. But controls are not working.

So in general it seems that it doesnt recognize the games and yes the games are shown in ES.

Feeling like an idiot already cause i don't get it working on the p3b+...

ok here is a missanderstanding by me. i talking from the new 5.20 beta. i think for the rpi3 + no beta present at this time.

edit: is the rpi3 image for rp3+?

the 5.20 beta has whdload support/better joystick support

Yes, all Batocera Images for rpi3 since version 5.15 also work for rp3+

Anyone got the cd32 work on rpi3b+ with 5.19?

I'm on 5.26, cd32 still doesnt work at all but cdtv does, lha does work too, obviously you cannot launch a lha via cd32, but i managed to play cd32 via lha into the a1200 rom path. because lha have to be whdload, and whdload cannot be cd32 emulated

Hello compatibility for hdf and fix for cd32 has been added in latest 5.26 beta

That's a good news to know that my tests and diagnostics were correct, unfortunally I cannot update yet from rpi4

There is will be other fixes, though, everything is not perfect yet

And if you use FAT32/exFAT as external storage partition format, a lot of whdl games won't launch due to an issue in amiberry

On latest beta RPI4 amiberry cd32 is now crashing the whole system, but I’ve played cd32 with the uae emulator ! However, strangely the main fire key in gloom was entering setup menu (this key is the amiga500 main only pad button) , I had to remove manually the mouse (probably that) and activate the cd32 pad instead of retropad

Wow well I don’t own a pi4 so I can’t really help regarding that, did you try several cd32 games with amiberry?

And yes several people told me that actually pUAE is a very solid contender and manages to launch quite everything, haven’t got around to testing it, though ….

yes i tried several games, strangely pinball fantasies, probably the most famous one dont lauch in uae

Hello. Apparently problem has been identified but I confirm I have the same problem on 5.25 Pi3B and all my images are fine (all work on Recalbox 6.1.1).
