Games not running or Screen freezing

Hello, after i fixed my sound problem, there's another issue. My SNES games don't start (f.e. Legend of Zelda) , others start, but the Screen freezes in boot screen but i can hear the games sound and the buttons react (f.e. Mario Kart). My graphics chip is a Radeon HD 6310, my CPU is an AMD E-350. Is there a possibility to fix the problem? My installed version is 5.19.

I have the same issue as you with a Sony Vaio laptop with the following specs:

Batocera version: 5.19 2018/11/25 09:11
OpenGL 3.3 (Core Profile) Mesa 18.2.2
Intel Core 2 DUO P8600@2.40GHz
Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470

Im using a live USB on a Sony Vaio vgn-fw21m

Ive read something like changing the parameter "video_threaded" to FALSE but I cant remember where is this parameter located...

Retro-Schulzi it is due to video_threaded. 5.20 defaults it to off. Just update to 5.20.

Thanks for this tipp, but unfortunately it doesn't work. All games start, but without screen, only sound. And when i want to return to the main screen (Hotkey + Start), nothing happens. I have to shutdown the Zbox by holding the power button. :-(

Update: I bought a cable from DVI to HDMI, on the DVI Port there's also no image to see. Is there an issue with the graphics card? (AMD RADEON 6310 HD)

Has anybody some experience with USB-Graphics Adapters like Frisco Logic?

Edit: I searched the hole forum, set the general video ouput do "default", changed the emulator settings in every thinkable way, but nothing helped.

Can i overinstall 5.18 on 5.19 or do i have to format the HDD completely before installing?

No idea anyone? So i formatted the internal HDD and tried to install 5.18 from SD Card. But after installing and rebooting from HDD 5.19 was shown in boot screen and system settings :-( The version on SD is definetely 5.18. I will try again tomorrow without network connection.

P.S. : Of course i still have no image in games except PS1

Thankyou, may be closed. An update on 5.20 today made everything work fine again. 😃

just restart configs to deafult creating a new recalbox folder .. just replace roms and bios folder from older recalbox folder . and replace es_systems.cfg

After two weeks I´ve finally managed to update to 5.20 and my screen doesn´t freeze anymore.
I still got some lag in certain games (Master System) and to my understanding this shouldn´t be happening as they don´t require very high specs.
It is not perfect, yet playable.

I found your guy’s conversation because I was getting the same issue. The only thing was when I plugged the computer into any other device besides my second monitor it would work. Those devices support audio output through the monitor tho. So when I hooked up the second monitor the only fix was to plug headphones or a speaker directly into the computer. Weirdest thing ever that having no audio was the issue.
