poke Thank you for that. I am still learning about Batocera but enabling the Nvidia allowed me to play games that I could not before. ;-) I am however noticing a slight delay in the actual main menu since installing them. It is not bothering me that much compared to games I can play ;-)

This ES crash seems not related to nvidia. Would you mind trying a newer (stable) nvidia-legacy image?

poke I swapped my GPU to a GT730 so I could use the "regular" 5.22 but it still has the same problem.

I tried swapping my RAM to see if it had anything to do with it but there was no difference.

In case it helps you diagnose the problem, my PC is a Dell Optiplex 755 with a Xeon 3363.

@poke Just tried the latest 5.23 beta

Screen shows "Loading system config"
Then says "Done" and crashes immediately.

Have to type "startx" to make it work.

gameski After updated to new batocera 5.22, it is not possible use the Nvidia card as possible in 5.21 using laptop dual-gpus. It is look like Nvidia driver was loaded but have error and just black screen.
Log for enable Nvidia driver in batocera-boot.conf:

gameski Did you follow the procedure to get hydrid-gpus to work with 5.21? Did you use nvidia-driver in 5.21? Hybrid-gpus are not supported out of the box.

I am new to batocera-linux. I have ran thru the various steps above. My video works, but I do not have any audio thru hdmi. OPENGL info shows 4.6.0 NVIDIA 390.116. I am using an old Zotac zbox with an Nvidia GT 520m.

buggydude1835 did you unmute channels in alsamiser and set a different audio device?

buggydude1835 TRy pressing Ctrl+Alt+F4 enter the sound mixer and press F6 choose NVIDIA HDA there you'll see two SPDIF channels with "MM" on the bottom, press M then select the second channel and M again, you should see "00" where the "MM" used to be.

Press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to exit to emulationstation.

I my case I then had to go to sound settings and change AUTO to HDMI1 for t to work. You should hear a chime when you exit the menu.

Restart and you're set.

I hope I didn't screw up any step, as I was thinking them by heart as I wrote.
