Hello and thank you for your 390.132 version of batocera 5.24 : you have revived my gt610 ;-)
Unfortunately, i also have an old gt210 which could run perfectly the 16bit era.
So i am stuck with the old version of batocera 5.19...
I'm pretty sure you see me coming...
Could you compile a 340.107 version of batocera 5.24 to revive all those langing computers ready for a bunch of retrogames ? Pleaaaase ;-)

The download: https://camargo.batocera.org/nvidia-legacy/upgrades/stable/last/batocera-5.24-x86_64-20191109.img.gz failes at 99% on Firefox. If I re-try it completes. I cleaned all data(cookies, etc... etc...) and it did the same again. Tried Edge and download just stops at 99% and will not continue. I moved to chrombook to try different pc/brawser and it also failed at 99%. I am a little reluctant to install the re-tried version on my PC but will try anyway. ;-)

EDIT:
Does not boot. It gives Batocera logo and then black screen. You can still go to console and it tells you:
Error: The backuo GPT table is corrupt, but the primary appears OK, so that will be used.
parted: invalid token: FIX

I tried downloading few times and using three different HDD-s. No luck 🙁

EDIT2: Press 'OK'. with the next message '/continue' it starts ;-)

I get a random black screen while playing games. I have to switch to console and then back to get the display back. I recently re-installed Batocera(5.24 legacy) as I changed the HDD. I have all my games on 3TB HDD and system on 240GB HDD. The only other recent change I've done is to use old VGA screen as it frees my TV for other use. I used it via HDMI before. I did have some trouble downloading the system(BZZ) but it didnt feel that impactful(considering it started🙂). I already tried changing the display from auto to VGA and the display to 800x600, 800x600 60Hz, 640x480 and 640x480 60Hz. Did not help so far. I also can keep it on for hours with the videos play as screen saver and nothing happens. I play a game for 5 min and I get the black screen.

Is it a VGA thing (I dont have a way to test it on HDMI at this time). Or should I consider the install botched ?

Yup. I had download trouble with legacy BZZ. But works fine... I mean apart from my own trouble ; -)

Hello I am running Batocera on an Dell Optiplex and is running excellent i have today installed an GT710 and this did not improve gamecube at all do i need to install drivers or should i stick with the onboard graphics ?

Hi, I have a GTX 970, is this card compatible with batocera? I see it listed as compatible, but
I already tried batocera 5.22 and 5.23 and the games run worst with the gtx than the integrated gpu (intel hd 530).

I ve tested some gamecube games (like virtua striker 3) and PS2 (hot pursuit and shadow of the colossus).

Ive managed to enable the drivers. I see an improvement in performance. Some PS2 games still has some issues, I supose i have to tweek a little bit the emulator. Tnanks!

The games that run better:

need for speed hot pursuit
deff jam fight for new york
zone of enders

Shadow of the colossus runs better, but still has issues. I know i can run it great with this card and processor (gtx 970+i3 6100). If anyone know a good ps2 emulator configuration, please let me know. I apreciate it.

Hi there, I am having trouble Enabling the N-vidia drivers,
Running Batocera Version 5.24

The system I have:
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Processor 3.8GHZ
The Graphics Card is: GTX 950 2GB
12GB RAM

I Have tried enabling the N-vidia driver
In batocera-boot.conf as Instructed:

nvidia-driver=true

In the System settings/Information it still reads

4.3(Core-Profile) Mesa 19.1.7

I have the same issue with another system

Intel Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHZ
The Graphics Card is: GT710 2GB
8GB RAM

Same issue with Both - The nvidia Drivers wont En-able

What am I missing?
Both Motherboards have on board GPU's (I have disabled them in the bios)

I have both graphics cards connected to monitors via hdmi ports
could that be an issue?

Any help would be much appreciated

EDIT: batocera is installed directly onto HDD on both systems as a stand alone OS

Disconnected my HDD and booted from USB Stick with the following:

nvidia-driver=true

And it worked! (Happy with that result)

Why would it not work on my 1TB HDD setup? Is there a way to get it working?

Or Am I better off Running Batercera from a flash stick and solely use The HDD for rom storage?

i guess it is a bug.
maybe it is fixed with version 5.25

i would just use the flash stick and solely use the HDD for rom storage from now.
later you can update to 5.25 and see if it works then. When it does not work with 5.25, then please report the bug to the devs (best via discord chat).

I wonder if I would get a different result if I flashed the batocera image straight to a HDD rather than installing it to a harddrive via the flash stick/install batocera to disk menu option

Hello.
Can I install the nvidia 390 drivers myself on top of an existing batocera with new drivers? There is already a configured flash drive and you do not want to install everything again every time a new version is released. I would like to be able to simply reinstall the nvidia drivers.

Etcher will not write the 5.25 image - says its corrupted. I re-downloaded 5.24 just to see if its not me and it writes fine. Will try update via console I guess.

EDIT: Updated fine via command.

BZZ Just tried to use etcher on macOS. No problem to burn image.
