Well no luck. It still gives me a blank screen. TV service on line 48 and 49 command not found.

xrandr --setprovideroutputsource modesetting NVIDIA-0
xrandr --auto

to you /etc/X11/xinitrc? Could you please send it? Also, send me the output of startx

as soon as i try that it says it cant open the display. Xorg.0.log says there are no devices connected yet through HDMI i can access the console. Now would it be possible that being since this computer has nvidia optimus could this be a problem @poke?

Tourgasm yes, i think that is the problem.you have to put those two lines in at the top of /etc/X11/xinitrc. Otherwise, they will not work.

I can create a image to test this problem next week. Let me know how do you prefer to continue.

Well i have tried it and startx just terminates itself. reason why i am having these issues is my laptops screen is busted and i think batocera is just extending the display instead of making my tv the primary display

So, I'm getting a different issue, when I remove the "#" and reboot, the display seems stretched, there's no audio, and the menu is laggy. Happens with both my GTX 745 and GT1030... Running normal install version 5.20 and can't seem to find the reason for it running choppy once enabling the Nvidia gpu's

Gman102 are you using this build or vanilla? nvidia is present in vanilla. just enabled it in the same way. you dont need to use this build. you cards are supported there.

Gman102 - i guess you have 2 output video - check if it's not better using the other on ?
when i first use the drivers on my GTX 560Ti i got big issue and all was slow by changing the display to the 2nd connector all went ok

the issue is the driver set only 1 output as accelerated...

mpb I also have an old system requiring nvidia 340.xx. Just letting you know there's one more of us out there!

mpb nvidia-driver was enable in 5.19 with version 4xx.xx. So, no versions with 340.xx.

Sduva notebook with dual-gpus is a problem. i may post a test build next week.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it keeps running everything from the CPU, and when I activate Nvidia drivers it makes it worse. Don't know what the issue is but until I find a solution I can only run things up to snes roughly

Gman102 could you please provide a support archive? boot batocera with nvidia enabled and generate one via the options menu.
