Yeah I'm pretty sure it keeps running everything from the CPU, and when I activate Nvidia drivers it makes it worse. Don't know what the issue is but until I find a solution I can only run things up to snes roughly

Gman102 could you please provide a support archive? boot batocera with nvidia enabled and generate one via the options menu.

Gman102 are you using this build or vanilla? nvidia is present in vanilla. just enabled it in the same way. you dont need to use this build. you cards are supported there.

mpb nvidia-driver was enable in 5.19 with version 4xx.xx. So, no versions with 340.xx.

That image is based on 5.20, the nvidia-legacy driver is not enabled.

Is there an image with the legacy drivers? I was able to run the 1.20 version, but I'm having some problems with GameCube emulation.
I have a 430M and would like to try the legagy driver, but I don't have any knowledge in linux and programming.

poke I tried the 4.19.21 build, it made me configure manually the xbox 360 controller.
With nvidia-driver=false (with the # in the conf file) I could get to ES and in settings/information I could read OpenGL string, in my case 4.2 version
With nvidia-driver=true (deleting the # in the conf file) same results as above.
Is this what you needed? Please let me know.

poke I won't provide builds for 340.xx. Sorry, I don't have the necessary hardware.

Do you want to have the necessary hardware? I have a system with nvidia ION-Chipset laying around, which i do not need anymore.
It is a Zotac ION ITX P (IONITX-PE) with an Intel Celeron SU2300 and NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GPU.
I could donate it and send it to you (you just would have to pay shipping costs).

I have just looked it up and it would cost 16€.
But it would be without insurance (so if the packet gets lost, it's lost).
With insurance it would cost 46€ (which is a bit high).

Sduva in both cases, the complete opengl string is the same:
4.2 (core profile) Mesa 18.2.4

I tried to run a gamecube game and in both cases it still uses the intel gpu

Sduva ok, your results are, unfortunately, what i expected.

Those intel+nvidia notebooks are affected by 2 problems:
1) intel gpu support is broken in BA 5.20
2) discrete gpu usage (gpu switching) is not supported at the moment

My build fixed the first problem. I have some ideas to fix the second. How familiar are you with linux cmdline? What is your nvidia gpu model?

poke My nvidia gpu model is 740m. I’m not very familiar with linux cmdline but a friend of mine is, so we can try several tests if you want. By the way, what do you mean by “intel gpu support is broken in BA 5.20”? At least in my case all the games works in 5.20 with the intel gpu, but of course the gamecube for example have a poor performance, that is why I would like to use the nvidia card.
