Sduva poke it would be a pleasure to try and help, I can try this in a week as I will be returning from holidays. I will let you know the results as soon as I return. Thanks
t0nito_ Don't know why but that install line did not work for me, what worked for me was: /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-upgrade.sh https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/users/poke-1,0/nvidia-driver-390.xx_x64/
Doze I came to thank that version. Only this version with the 390.xx driver worked on my GTX750. PSX2 running without lag. Sorry for my english, using google translator.
KaratsuFr Gman102 - i guess you have 2 output video - check if it's not better using the other on ? when i first use the drivers on my GTX 560Ti i got big issue and all was slow by changing the display to the 2nd connector all went ok the issue is the driver set only 1 output as accelerated...
yagocs Hello! I have built this Old Xeon + GTX 460 for batocera specfically. After grub I was not getting any image so I started looking and ended right here. I think it is beacuse of legacy drivers. I have read the first post so far but excuse me for my ignorance, How do i get into system to install? The system is mounted on an HDD so it goes straight. With the pendrive i used to install (image x86_64) I can reach recalbox-boot.conf and remove #, that way I may install once again, but: /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-upgrade.sh https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/users/poke-1,0/nvidia-driver-390.xx_x64/ how do i get into terminal? I mean sorry about the dumb question but i can't really figure it out. Thanks!
yagocs poke Thank you, I did not notice that after sh was the link for the nvidia driver part. An thanks for the great work!
johnodon I have an HP Elitebook 8570W which has an Nvidia Quadro K1000M GPU: https://www.nvidia.com/content/pdf/product-comparison/product-comparison-quadro-mobile-series.pdf Which driver should I use? TIA! John
s1dh poke Is there a how-to or kind of procedure that could help me to bundle nvidia 340 legacy driver with batocera ? poke s1dh you can use my nvidia-legacy branch as a reference. Source code: https://github.com/tcamargo/batocera.linux/tree/nvidia-legacy But first, you need to setup a development environment. See our wiki for details.
s1dh poke Thank you very much for this info, I found the wiki page . I'll set up a docker container and see how it goes. Thank you Regards,
poke s1dh 340.xx will not compile cleanly with our current kernel. Look for patches. I would recommend you check the archlinux package.
s1dh poke Do you mean that one : https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/nvidia-340xx/ ? If so , I ' m not sure to understand very well how to gather the pieces of this puzzle š Could you describe the main steps , in order for me to have some checkpoints š Regards,
s1dh Did you meant "check the archlinux package" ... for the patches ? so that would be thos ones šÆ https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/trunk?h=packages/nvidia-340xx and do you mean adapting those patch in the docker build container to install 340.XX drivers into it ?
poke s1dh I just correct some merge problems in my nvidia-legacy branch. if you are still working on 340.xx, i would recommend you refresh your local copy.
s1dh poke In fact , I'm learning docker basics at the moment, (I'm used to FreeBSD jails), and I didn't start the build yet, I need to read a lot of documentation. But for sure I will refresh before doing so . Thanks for your help /advices. Regards,
aspiretoshred poke Hi, thanks so much for working on this! I didn't get a chance to grab the image while it was up, bit would really benefit from it, can you send to me?
