s905x PS1 performance slow

Just wondering if anyone has tried PS1 on a s905x box? I am new to Batocera and I am using an s905 box (I think it's an s905x) and I am getting great performance on everything 8bit and 16bit, I have only tried one 32bit console emu so far, PSX, and i'm getting about 44 fps , sound is choppy and the games are all playing at about half speed. Is this a known issue? I have all correct hash-checked bios's in place and not 'missing'.

PS. I hope it was OK to post this in bug reports, I could not find an s905 tag.

why did you not simpy use the emulator epsxe android ? you will get bether perfomance than retroarch for android ..that i am 100% sure .

GameCast Yes I have tried ePSXe in Android on s905x boxes and performance is very good, which is how I know that s905 CPU is perfectly capable of running PS1, but I am keen on getting Batocera to work as I really like its UI and presentation and ease of use. I was under the impression that the simplicity of Batocera and it's stripped-down nature would mean it works just as fast as ePSXe or faster but maybe I was wrong. I tried Lakka as an alternative today on the same box, that plays PS1 games perfectly but the presentation and controller setup etc is nowhere near as nice as Batocera. Maybe one of the reasons Lakka is running faster with PS1 games is that it is running them in 480p by default. (I'd love to see how Batocera runs them in 480p but cant get that to work). Also, I think that s905 support for Batocera is very new and will get a lot of improvements in the future, where as Lakka has been developed and tweaked for s905 for much longer

metal_slugger you must think about, batocera cores dont have same performance as the emulator itself .
cause cores are based from old emulator version ..and to be realy, cores on android are not so good .

GameCast I have used a number of different methods for PS1 on s905 box and they have all run at good performance. Lakka is similar to Batocera in the way it works and it runs PS1 at 60fps , so I am presuming that Batocera should theoretically be able to do the same, so I was wondering if there is anything I can do in the settings/configuration. I have not found anything yet. I Would really like to use Batocera for everything up to PS1 as it has the best UI and ease of use. I guess PS1 performance on s905 will improve with new versions....

Guys, does anyone have any predictions for the launch of the new version of the Batocera for the S905 boxes because it stopped at 5.24. Is it possible to improve the performance of the N64, PS1 and Dreamcast emulators?

LuisSilva I would also like to know. Does not connect on the internet. It must be the outdated version.
