audio doesnt work

Hi , I tried in a notebook that has hdmi and mini jack , the audio reproduces only in internal speakers or mini jack.
If I connect to TV through hdmi the audio doesnt work, and I tried to change in audio settings and neither works.
Then I tried in desktop computer and doesnt work in any exit (mini jack or hdmi)
but with ubuntu works fine all exits in both computers

jackalpret I check yesterday again.
I open console (ALT+F4 and then CTRL ALT F2 or F3)
And i saw only this message about audio:
lvl0: VolumeControl::init() - Failed to find mixer elements!

I clear ... the computer is desktop with audio/video onboard ...

you can forget this message. it's just that you've no hardware mixer. this happend by default on the xu4 for example because it has no hardware mixer too, while the sound is working.

nadenislamarre so, how can i check the problem ? because the audio outputs doesnt work and the volumen when I enter to setup menu is in 0% .. and if I slide to up when I back and enter again its on 0

i don't know a lot about sound issues.
The thing is that i've no sound issue with my computers.
So, i don't know how to help you.
