5.20 doesn't update or install

I have Batocera x64 v5.19 working perfectly on my computer from the internal hard drive.

I've tried updating it to v5.20 and nothing happened. It just hangs with a blank screen after Batocera.Linux is displayed on screen. Also tried installing v5.20 fresh and that doesn't boot up either. Just displays "GRUB Loading ..." with a flashing cursor and hangs.

I've also tried installing v5.19 & 20 and running from USB but it just displays Batoceria.Linux on the top left of the screen on bootup and doesn't proceed any further.

No idea why I am no longer able to install any run any Batocera versions. Any ideas on what happened and what I can do to fix?

what are the specs of your PC? CPU, Board and GPU

Since I've tried to update and reinstall Batocera 5.20 nothing will load anymore. Even tried older version back to 5.11 without success.

My PC specs are:

Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 11 Laptop
Intel® Celeron® Processor U3400 (1.06 GHz)
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD
4gb DDR3 Ram
500gb sata hard drive

Your processor seems to be a bit old (from 2010).
Did you try the x86 32 bits version of Batocera already?

I managed to get it working. Turns out to be a problem with 5.20. Ended up having to get the pre release v5.21 which fixes the boot hang and blank screen on startup. Although as stated. Games and Kodi not loading with this development release. So for now we roll back to 5.19. Till the full release of 5.21.

When I was writing the image to the internal SATA hard drive I was installing to a partitioned and formatted NTFS hard drive. All I needed to do was delete all hard drive partitions and leave the hard drive unpartitioned. Then burn the Image to the internal hard drive using the following software From my bootable Windows PE USB boot disk.
