how change python unicode flag

Hi!

Batocera is the only only only distro for linux that it have all the things that I need to be happy (emulators + kodi in a same place). I really appreciate your job.

The only thing that I could not make to work is the acestream server. When I try to execute it I am receiving an error like this:

undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS4_DecodeUTF8

As I have seen is necessary to compile python with unicode UCS4. Can you say me how can I compile your project for 64 bits with this flag activated?

I don't understand clearly how works buildroot, I have the tools to compile but I don't know how compile your project changing only this flag.

I hope that you can say me how compile your project "for dummies".

but in general, to modify the configuration :
make menuconfig (or make gconfig or something like this for a graphical interface, make help for all options)

The only reason that I can say is the possibility to enable acestream with kodi provided with batocera distro. Anyway I don't know if maybe after enable it could be appearing more errors. I am compiling your code setting BR2_PACKAGE_PYTHON_UCS4=y in the Config.in provided by "make recalbox-x86_64_defconfig".

I think that I am doing right. I am waiting some hours to finish the compilation, when it's finished I can say you if is working so you can enable if you want.

ok.
you should confirm that it's enough by doing :
grep BR2_PACKAGE_PYTHON_UCS4 .config
because adding in recalbox-x86_64_defconfig is somethimes not enough, for example if there is a conflicting package.
.config is the file created when doing "make recalbox-x86_64_defconfig"
recalbox-x86_64_defconfig is the wanted target
.config is the real happening one, including dependencies for example.

ok. just disable it in the .config to finish the compilation.
i've not the issue, but i don't redownload all files regularly, only 1 time before compiling new versions.

if you need to know the current available version on the next, run this script without argument.
unfortunally, i've not added 100% of the packages, like the youtube plugin for which you get "unknown"

just disable xboxdrv from the .config for your tests for the moment.

I think that "THIS_IS_NOT_YOUR_ROOT_FILESYSTEM" is the guilty.

you don't need batocera.img, you can just use boot.tar.xz and unzip it on your existing system, it's a way to just update your system without loosing data.
