nadenislamarre enable nvidia drivers and if your card is supported it will go faster for you. see the wiki
albiihza nadenislamarre hey thx for your answer i've alrdy enable it but still same :/ i use this batocera version https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/forum/d/1851-batocera-linux-5-20-with-nvidia-legacy-drivers-390-xx/59 and enable nvidia driver but still nothing change what should i do ?
joinski albiihza your CPU is too weak. PS2 emulation is very CPU-demanding. Try with an i5 or i7 of newer generation like haswell or newer. And your GPU is also a bit too weak. I tested PS2 on Batocera with nvidia GTX 750 Ti and GTX 1070 with the same CPU (i7-4790) and with GTX 1070 it runs better. It also always depends on the games you play. There are more and there are less demanding games in terms of hardware.
albiihza i've try ps2, psx, psp, wii with my pc but only ps2 cant running well 🙁 is there really spec issue ? why ps2 emu really need so high spec pc :/
joinski albiihza Basically an emulator has to convert commands from hardware that is completely different and convert it into equivalent commands for the processor that's running the emulator to understand. All this converting has to happen many times a second, which takes a lot of processing power.
spr22 albiihza PS2 likes at least ~2000 on passmark single core https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html If you think PCSX2 is tough, Yuzu or RPCS3 are even more demanding. Cemu also likes high performance single thread in some games. Beetle-Saturn on retroarch likes High single core too.
