MAME 037B5 ON BATOCERA

Sorry to introduce myself with a help request but here it is....
I'm using rom set from mame 037b5 on 32 bit asus eeepc 1581 but some roms (most relevant being donkey kong) just black screen and return to main menu.
I put them in roms/mame/roms and the emulator sees them.
Can please someone help?

which core are you using? 0.37b5 is only supported in lr-imame.

So I suspect there's no 037b5 core on batocera 5.20...right?

is, there is. it's not used by default. Edit your recalbox.conf and add the following line:

mame.core=imame

sorry to be a delusion, but i edited recalbox.conf with notepad++ and added the "mame.core=imame" line under section I of the file but still no joy...
What am I missing?

sprazzi Could you please send me a support archive? There is an option in the ES menu to generate it.

You did not set the mame core in recalbox.conf as advised

sprazzi the support archive you sent has your recalbox.conf. I checked and you did not set mame.core as I said.
