Kintaro SuperUrsus/Kuma Case - SafeReset/SafeShutdown script not working

Hello,

I've bought a Kintaro SuperUrsus (Mini Snes like) case and i would like to use the buttons with the SafeReset/SafeShutdown scripts.

Despite several intents, i didn't succeed to make them works.

I am testing batocera 5.20 distribution on pi3+ with kintaro super ursus case & 8bitdo SFC30Pro.

A guy releasesd scripts for recalbox but i can't make them work on batocera :

I used S100kintaro & Kintaro.py scripts copying the S100kintaro.sh into "/etc/init.d" & the kintaro folder into "/opt/". after reboot, i have launched the command through ssh "chmod +x /etc/init.d/S100kintaro.sh"
& i have launched the scripts "/etc/init.d/S100kintaro.sh start"

No success at the moment.

Is there any way to set the safe power/ reset / fan scripts to pilot super ursus case please?

I was during the time as I was present in Recalbox, adapting a script for my nespibox and a temperature dependent running of the fan. Now in this case I started all my stuff in custom.sh, started when present from S99custom in etc/initd/ And i am not sure if an S100 run in this folder, I think the limit is S99 when even possible and not overwrited in Batocera. Better just start in /share/system/custom.sh your own scripts. Because in etc/initd with next version it will be swept away.
Fan control worked very nice, the rest with soft shutdown I never needed as from ES with select this works best.
Now I have for my PI3B+ a full milled Alucase, no fan at all. Even better.

vicentedeoliveira I've managed to get the Kintaro stop/start/reset buttons working with 5.22 on an RPi3 B+.

The steps I followed are:

cd /tmp/
curl -GOL# https://github.com/MichaelKirsch/Kintaro-Recalbox/archive/master.zip
unzip master.zip
cp Kintaro-Recalbox-master/S100kintaro.sh /etc/init.d/S100kintaro.sh
chmod +x /etc/init.d/S100kintaro.sh
mv Kintaro-Recalbox-master/Kintaro/ /opt/
/recalbox/scripts/./recalbox-save-overlay.sh

The last step is the crucial one, as it saves the changes to the overlay file system. I get the feeling that upon upgrade, this would need to be re-applied.

Hello.

Thanks for this last tip. i managed to make it works with batocera.
The last command to save overlay is “usr/bin/batocera-save-overlay.sh”.

Now my Kintaro case works fine with last batocera 5.27 version.

I have the same problem and this is the best solution i find, but i dont understand if the first script is for batocera or recalbox. vicentedeoliveira can you write the complete script for batocera?

Hi friend.

Execute every command one by one through ssh client like Putty for example:

cd /tmp/ curl -GOL# https://github.com/MichaelKirsch/Kintaro-Recalbox/archive/master.zip unzip master.zip cp Kintaro-Recalbox-master/S100kintaro.sh /etc/init.d/S100kintaro.sh chmod +x /etc/init.d/S100kintaro.sh mv Kintaro-Recalbox-master/Kintaro/ /opt/ /usr/bin/batocera-save-overlay

Now reboot your system. I’m in Batocera 5.29. Light and buttons of Kinaro case work fine. I hope it helps you!
