Help, running slow on older laptop.

I'm trying to use an older laptop for an arcade. It's a HP G60 with an AMD Athlon X2 QL-64 @ 2.1 ghz, 3 GB of ddr2, and an Nvidia Geforce 8200 m graphics adapter. I tried to run Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter for Snes and Genesis and both are super slow. The run just fine using RetroArch through the Windows Vista 32 Bit OS. Any suggestions?

What version of batocera are you running..have your tried updating cores in retroarch?

I'm using the current version, 5.20 for X86 32 bit. They work fine in Retro, I just don't like how the UI looks for an arcade machine.
