Improve PSX image games ! are possible ?

I would like to know if it is possible to improve the image of the PSX emulator. I ask this, because in my android 5.1 I use the emulator "epsxe" and there is the option to use OpenGL as a video plugin, which makes the image look amazingly good.

I tried to use some shaders inside the emulator, however, I did not find any that made the image good, on the contrary, it just kept crashing the gameplay ....

Would it be possible to use some method to improve the image of these PSX games?

(I realized that the nintendo 64 games for example have a good image to play, so I think an image improvement (graphics) of the Playstation would be possible!

@nadenislamarre it's possible to add core of "epsxe" with the support of OpenGL.so to improve the images ? ....this emulator is free and the performance of image quality grafics is very good with the openGL plugin.so

epsxe seems to be an emulator, not just a core, am i wrong ?
however, it looks like it's possible to add it.
however, i would appreciate this as a contribution while my todolist is just always growing.

nadenislamarre Yes ... epsxe is a complete emulator that has versions for windows, linux, mac and android.

I make use of the version for windows and for android and both are supported by the OpenGL.so plugin, which makes the image look amazingly good.

The open GL plugin developed for this emulator pretty much brings the image quality closer to a PC game or better.

The PSX emulator currently contained in the batocera is very good, however, the image quality is not very good and if I try to enable any shader to try to improve the image, the performance drops drastically and it is impossible to play on the Raspberry Pi3.

As the hardware of Pi 3 is similar to many Android phones, and the existing version of the emulator for android flows very well, even with the OpenGL plugin enabled as epsxe video driver, I think a port of this emulator would be interesting ...

However, I understand your list of priorities and, if you ever want this challenge, it would be cool!
