ERROR: couldn’t terminate EFI services

Hello you guys, I was super stoked to convert my old pc into an emulation powerhouse but when I went to boot it up I was met with the following error message: ERROR: couldn’t terminate EFI services.
Failed to boot both default and fallback entries.
Press any key to continue.
It will then bring me to the GRUB 2 screen but my keyboard is disabled. Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm also waiting for the same answer, you and me both. It worked on my laptop running Linux already but on a win 10 PC it's giving me this issue

Is secure boot disabled in BIOS settings? Don't think batocera has required keys for secure booting, so it needs to be off in setttings.

You can always tryout my alternate Efi boot. http://zclub.eu/efi.zip. You must override for this the files in /efi/boot
No guaranty but works for some PC's.
