can you confirm that you're not too far from your internet box ?
i should check the configruation about the number of tries done and perhaps make more tries on the wifi connection.

Difference between 2.4GHz / 5GHz bands? Does RasPi wifi support 5GHz band in wifi module? If router is configured only for latter band, it will prevent wifi from connecting up.

as far as i remember somebody told that wpa or wpa2 or one of the protocols is not supported

Finally works!
tips:
1) works only with WPA2 ( for auth mode);
2) if you doen't work using batocera/recalbox frontend ( my case), You must setup the recalbox.conf ( using command line), save it (control + x) and retart (shutdown - r now) .

3) have fun 🙂 !

Wooud you explain more where I can change WPA or WPA2? I dont know very well about this.
I saw that it have worked. In another topic, somebody sad that WPA can be changed in the security. But, secuity of what? Batocera conf or modem/rout?

Good morning friends!

need help!

I just purchased a new router for my home, the TP-Link Archer C60 which works using 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneously ....

All configured and working well on Smartphones, Notebook etc ....

only that my batocera 5.10 does not work at all! I enter the networking data gets as CONNECTED, but something appears like ff2: bc5: 003: 55p: 065 (it seems to be a MAC instead of IP) .... this always happened but it was just restarting the batocera and connected .. but when I reboot now it no longer connects .... appears as disconnected and I can not connect to the Router at all!

I need help to know if:

Is this router not compatible with Raspberry?
security options and channel width are already as automatic and WPA2 PSK is recommended as it is the most secure password
My password has a special character - The PASSWORD is: "Casa4030@" - does it not work with special characters in the password?

Anyway ... what can I do to get myself connected to this router? I bought it just to solve my signal problem / speed of connection for wifi to raspberry ... and now I come across this .... if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it!

can you tell me the content of the file /var/lib/connmann/recalbox-wifi.conf ? (or similar name).
i'm interested to confirm if the password is correct in this file or not.

Anyway ... yesterday I changed some settings on the router and I was able to access ... but I did not connect again this morning ... so I rebooted the batocera and connected ... I think there is a flaw related to wi-fi in the version I am using (5.10) ..... but, I do not know how to fix it!

Hola. Soy nuevo con Batocera, el sistema me parece excelente pero estoy teniendo algunas dificultades.
Lo tengo instalado sobre una Raspberry pi 3 B+ y esta conectado a la red por wifi.
Puntualmente me pasa que el sistema funciona muy bien, puedo utilizar kodi sin problemas para ver videos de youtube, etc. pero luego de copiar algunos roms por la red y apagar el sistema o reiniciar, Batocera no se conecta mas al Wifi.
Lo he fotmateado y vuelto a instalar 3 veces y el problema aparece siempre despues de pasarle roms por la red.
Espero me puedan ayudar. Desde ya muchas gracias y disculpas por no escribir en ingles.

indygena Bueno, me voy a contestar solo. Despues de leer mucho e intentar bastante logre salvar el error, para ello hay qeu intrar en la consola (terminal) y editar utilizando "nano" el archivo:

recalbox.conf

en la parte -------B - Network------- hay que borrar los datos para que quede como de fabrica algo asi:

wifi.enable=0
wifi.ssid=
wifi.key=

como podran ver hay que dejar los valores vacios para que al reiniciar y entrar en la configuracion de red de batocera los campos de configuración aparezcan sin valores como si estuvieramos iniciando el sistema por primera vez. Reingresamos los datos y listo, se volvio a conectar!!!
