Emulation PS2.

Hi !

I have two questions about "PS2 emulation" :
- I have some Europeans and French roms, but sometimes, games stays in English, and there's no possibility to switch during the game.
Example : Crash Twin Sanity (Europe) : the game is in English, and there is no option to change it "in-game".
Is it a BIOS problem / version ? Or maybe an option to change manually in the emulator PCSX2 ?

I did a ISO file of "Dead Or Alive 2" from my original game but it doesn't work. I saw that it works with the emulator used for Dreamcast. So, I just wanted to know if someone found a way to play it with the PS2 version.

For the precision, I'm French, this is why I insist about this language 😉.
I use the version 5.20 PC x64.

for the language, in 5.21, we've enable fullboot which ask your your language.

About "Dead or Alive 2", PCSX2 shows an error message when I launch the game. I will retry tomorrow to tell you the details.

Hello everybody¡

In the first place, thanks nadenislamarre so much for Batocera, is the best S.O. Retro gaming.

All emulators works fine, but i have a problem in Pcsx2. When i change the plugins options, nothings happen. I want change the resolution, but when i do, nothing happen. Ever is the same graphics quality.

And the second problem is the sound. I dont have sound in my videogames. i was change the sounds parameter, but nothing happen.

Can you help me? Thanks so much, one more time 🙂

PD: I have a intel i5-6600K, and a GTX 1070 nvidia.

I tried the 5.21 version and it works !
Now I can play in French ☺.

remember ps2 emu version on batocera is earlie version of emu than exists on pc .. performance is not the best and respekt the compatibility list games .

For me PCSX2 Config changes are working.
I press F1 while in Emulation Station Main Menu, then navigate to Application (upper left corner) and start pcsx2-config.
There i go to Config, Video, Plugin Settings... and change Internal Resolution to 2x or 3x Native, then click on ok and exit pcsx2-config and start the game. Now the resolution is increased.

but i noticed something strange about the menu that opens, when you press F1 in ES.
with nvidia-driver disabled the window-, font and icon size is normal
but with nvidia-driver enabled, everything is extremely big! for some options in pcsx2-config it is then impossible to change the settings, because you cannot see everything.

Edit: Ok, just tested with another machine (GTX 1070 instead of GTX 750Ti) and there the F1 Menu has normal size with nvidia drivers enabled. Very strange.

The sounds problem continue. I dont have sound in my ps2 games... i don't know how do.

I change a lot of thing in the plugin audio, but the problem continue. In the rest emulators i dont have this problem. Can you help me?

Maybe you have changed something in the plugin audio, which has led to the sound not working anymore.
I would recommend to reinstall batocera and not change too much in the plugin settings of PCSX2.

Sound should work for PS2 out-of-the-box as long as you have set the correct Audio Output device (via workaround over kodi output device).
For me, when sound works in Kodi and then in ES and other Systems (SNES, Gameboy etc.) also, it works everywhere (so also in PS2, Gamecube etc.)
