Can't pair bluetooth Moga controller - macbook pro 2011

I am booting batocera (batocera-5.20-x86_64-20190118.img) from a USB stick on a "MacBook Pro late 2011" (https://support.apple.com/kb/SP645) with :
- Intel Core i5 2.4Ghz
- 4GB RAM
- bluetooth (2.1 + EDR).

I'm trying to pair a "Moga Pro Power" controller (http://www.mogaanywhere.com/controllers/propower), but it's not working.

During the pairing, it says "working", and then "unable to pair controller" (or something like that).

The Moga Pro Power has 2 pairing modes, A and B. Both are failing.

The controller is working fine on this MacBook Pro when I boot with macOS.

I would appreciate some help ...
