Hi! i try to run from usb batocera 5.19 64 bit (a preconfig distribution), this dell laptop have monitor broken, but i usually use it with win10 on a external hdmi tv with no issue at all, i can also enter the bios like this because the keyboard have a key to switch between display output.
so, i enter in bios, i switch the display out to hdmi, i select to boot from usb, batochera linux load, load first message on hdmi, first with low resolution then in high resolution (so seems to correctly load the cpu drivers for my laptop), then when finally batocera full load, SURPRISE, batocera automatically disconnect the hdmi output and only show the image on the main laptop monitor (is broke but i can see if something send an image or if is turn off totally).
Then i cannot switch back to hdmi output, because seems batocera ignore the special key my keyboard have (bios and win10 accept the key and switch output when i press it)... i read online and tryed to press fn+F4 and fn+F5, nothing change.
can someone help me and tell me how i can use a keyboard combination to swith the output to the second hdmi monitor?
to be sincere im a little disappointed, i mean there is a reason since forever windows output to all available devices and then let you decide how to set up your otput devices, why batocera/linux dont do the same? and instead choose to output only to the main monitor??? 🙁
i also tryed to disconnect the hdmi cable and then reconnect it, hoping batocera will detect a new display output and send the video signal to th new display output too, nothing change, keep ignore the second monitor.
someone can help me? i have sadly 0 experience on linux.
maybe i can manual edit batocera config files? (how?) i tryed to have a look but there are only few files on the usb, loading it from windows 8.1, i guess windows dont show me all files/partition of the usb stick where i run batocera...
