Keyboard doesn't work in Gamecube Emulator?

Hey everyone, just getting started using batocera, and for the most part everything is working great. I'm currently just using an USB keyboard for everything while I get it all setup.

Only issue is that the gamecube emulator doesn't seem to notice any input from the keyboard. I get stuck at the "press any button to continue" screen at the start of each game. I've configured the keyboard in the batocera menu, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've tried button-mashing, but none of the key seem to be doing anything. The odd thing is it seems to work great in all the other emulators.

Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? Or what I could try to fix it?

Configure the keyboard emulator itself via the F1 key on the main screen of Batocera it will take you to the file manager which has an applications section where you will be able to open the dolphin and make the configuration.

Awesome! Thank you! That works... mostly. I can configure it there, and if I run the game directly from the dolphin application, it remembers the configs I just saved and runs great.

However, if I exit back to the Batocera main screen and start it from there, I get nothing. If I enter back into the dolphin application, it's erased all the settings I've saved.

Is it possible there's a permission problem somewhere, or a persistent settings options I missed? I looked all over for it, but couldn't seem to find anything.
