Batocera first time setup taking a long time

Hello, I am setting up batocera for the first time on a usb drive and I understand that the first boot is suppose to take awhile but how long exactly? It boots up to the batocera logo screen and just sits, it’s been about 30min how long is this suppose to take exactly?

first time boot could take a while depending on the speed of your usb-drive.
but 30mins are way too long!
as nadenislamarre said... either your computer hardware is not supported by batocera (yet) or your usb-drive could be broken.
try with other computers and/or try another usb drive (so you should find out the cause, either computer or usb-drive).

joinski joinski update turns out it was just a bad usb, tried a new one and worked, thanks for the help

that depends from usb speed or roms you have on HDD.
i am ussing an 3TB HDD full roms and it takes about 1 min to load batocera from usb and roms list from extern HDD .
