[5.1][RPi3] Geekwrom HD 3.5 TFT: Wrong Kodi resolution

Recently I bought the Geekwrom HD 3.5 TFT display (http://www.raspberrypiwiki.com/index.php/Rpi_HD_3.5_inch_TFT) for the Raspberry Pi3.

After adding everything necessary to /boot/config.txt it's working like a charm. Unfortunately there are two very small black bars left and right because RetroArch has no 5:3 aspect ratio - But that's not the problem 😃

The problem is when I start Kodi I can only see about 1/4 of the menu. Kodi seems to not read the desired resolution from /boot/config.txt.

Is there another config for Kodi which I need to edit in order to set the resolution and viewport?

i'm not sure, but i think that kodi reads from /dev/idontrememberwhat
but in a first time,
what does the command "tvservice" returns ?
