No audio with Intel NUC8i3CYSM (i3 w/ Radeon 540)

I just received an Intel NUC8i3CYSM (i3 2/ Radeon 540) and am trying to get Batocera running on it. Everything works, but I can't get any audio.

I've added the radeon.audio=1 in both grub.cfg files.

Volume is always at 0. I can't raise it at all, even in alsamixer. I also confirmed that the device isn't muted in alsamixer, but volume is always at 00.

Here's the output of aplay -l

I fixed the audio problem, but not from what's on the wiki. I had to do the following:

$mount -o remount,rw /
$alsamixer

In alsamixer, unmute everything then exit.

$mkdir /var/lib/alsa
$alsactl store
$cp /var/lib/alsa/asound.state /recalbox/share/system/asound.state
$echo "alsactl restore –f /recalbox/share/system/asound.state" >> /etc/init.d/S99custom
$/recalbox/scripts/recalbox-save-overlay.sh
