Easiest way to update

I need to update my Batocera. What’s the easiest way to do so without having to re-add my ROMs? I’m new to all of this and not versed very will on it.

I'm used update,but it's failed,tell me "No update available"
My version is 5.18-x86_64-20180930,that's a old version.

Are all your ROMs on an external hard drive if so reformat USB for 5.21 boot up the computer and tell it to point towards the hard drive for the ROMs the update will stick. That's what I had to do cuz it did the same thing to me. Make sure all your ROMs on the hard drive or you will lose them all if they're in the USB
